Wow, It’s May. This year is going soooo fast!

April was an AMAZING month.
It began with Tom completing his treatments for the cancer on his leg successfully. We will, of course, continue to monitor him for any re-occurrence but Thanks be to God and good doctors, he seems to be completely free of it now. Thanks also to all of you who kept us in your prayers during this ordeal.

Then, Holy week and Easter at St. Matthew’s. I hope all of you had a Holy Week filled with His amazing grace. The Lord is Risen! And once again confetti filled the church yard, the scent of lilies filled the church and the Love of our Lord and Savior filled our hearts.

Hard on the heels of Easter was the St. Mats Barbeque. Unbelievable that it’s been going on for 50 years and Tom and I have been involved for 20 some of those years. Good food, good friends, good times!

Last month we had the honor of photographing the Lamar Academy Prom. What a wonderful bunch of kids having the time of their lives in a beautiful Arabian Nights setting. Kudos to Natalie and company at La Antigua Revilla Ballroom.

We want to thank all of you who brought food by for our April Showers of Blessings food drive. We were able to fill a huge basket with your donations!

And finally, we listed the house with a wonderful realtor, Roy Wood. We don’t expect it to sell over night but Tom and I are looking forward to down-sizing some. WE ARE NOT RETIRING! We are looking for a smaller place with a small courtyard or patio for pictures. The trend is growing for pictures “on location” and we do a lot of that...pick your favorite spot and we will be there. So we really have no need for this huge acre and a half yard.

The real challenge for this month will be in downsizing our STUFF! Ugh! How in the world do we accumulate so much junk?
